Changunarayan, Bhaktapur · Nepal
Learn the land.
Grow with the seasons.
A small organic farm in the hills of Changunarayan where learning comes through the land. Slow, real, and shaped by the seasons.

The Farm
The Land
Mayel Farm is a working, living space — of soil, water, animals, and seasons.
A small herd of cows, a natural pond, bees moving quietly through the trees, and fields that grow food close to the earth.
Grains like heritage Taichin rice, fruits from young orchards, and simple harvests shaped by time and care.
This is not a finished place. It is a living one.

Farmstay
Stay at Mayel
The space is still becoming.
For now, the experience remains small, quiet, and personal — shaped more by the land than by design.
Longer Stays
Extended Stay in the Village
A short walk from the farm, a simple village apartment is being prepared for longer stays.
It offers a quiet base — with a small kitchen, space to work,
and the rhythm of everyday village life.
For those who wish to stay a little longer,
move at their own pace,
and come closer to the land.
Available from next month.
Some stays begin as visits,
and slowly become something more.

Gatherings
Workshops
Some gatherings are guided by those who live and work with the land — sharing quiet knowledge of soil, seasons, and growth.
Others are simple spaces for children, families, and small groups to learn by being here.
Mayel Learning
Learning that grows from nature
We create simple, visual learning tools and nature-connected lessons — shaped slowly, in rhythm with the land.

Offerings
From the Farm
What the land offers is shared in small quantities — when the time is right.

At the heart of the land
The Mayel Tree
This tree has stood here for over forty years —
through seasons, rain, and time.
Villagers believe it carries the presence
of those who came before.
A place where prayers are not spoken loudly,
but felt.
Long ago, cowherders would rest in its shade,
pausing in the middle of their day.
Once, it was almost cut down.
But a neighbor came running —
as if the land itself had called out to protect it.
And so, it remained.
Quietly rooted.
Quietly alive.
Everything that Mayel Farm is today,
began around this tree.
